Laughing At My Human

I have to laugh. Yesterday and today I've been driving my human nuts with my coming and going. I no sooner go in the house and i want right back out. It's funny, I roam around for a minute and then go back to the door and want out. Sometimes she lets me whine for a second or two but usually she jumps right up to open the door. Then of course I just stand there. Sometimes I do go out, but want right back in again. This morning she actually understood my antics. It took her awhile but she caught on. Yes, eating inside is nice. But the outdoors is my home and I love to eat outside. That way I can keep an eye on the neighborhood at the same time. She asked me if I wanted to eat outside and my loud "meow" must have done the trick. She put some food in my dish and I scarfed it up. Sometimes it takes forever to train a human. But it's fun.

It was bound to happen.......

She caved, my human caved as I knew she would. The people with soft hearts are who we like the best. Last night it was raining cats and .....well you know. There were poodles, I mean puddles, everywhere. Including around my food dish. I saw her hesitate putting food in my dish, knowing it would get soggy and I wouldn't eat it. Next thing I knew, there was a bowl of food for me INSIDE the house. Yep, I knew it would happen sooner or later. She's a good human. I spent my usual couple of hours inside. I even laid down with her and we both took a short snooze. But when that big loud furnace started to run again, it sort of freaked me out a bit and I got up and went back outside. By that time the rain had stopped for awhile. I didn't mind. I wish that man would come and put her garbage can back where it belongs. It is part of my shelter. This morning I ate outside. But I knew she would cave. :-)

Raise your paw and make a 'pawment' if you too knew my human would cave.

Crazy Day

This winter weather is crazy. It is warm and balmy out here. My senses have alerted me that it is not going to last for long and I should enjoy it while I can. It has been rainy but I have plenty of shelters my human knows nothing about. She and I had a nice time the other night. I was inside for a couple of hours and I was so quiet she forgot I was there. I joined her as she sat and watched television. I think I scared her a bit when I jumped up on her lap. I took a quick bath and fell asleep. When I woke and turned over to look at her upside down, she looked down and smiled at me. I have her in the palm of my paw. :-) She's been trying to get some new pictures of me, but everytime she tries to take one I move and the moment is gone. I'm going to back to enjoying todays weather. I'm told snow is on the way after today. That's ok, I can handle it. It is after all, winter.

Let Me Introduce Myself

I first showed up at my human's place about three years ago. It was the best thing I ever did. Right away she started to take care of me. She and the neighbor kids quickly took to me and we all became fast friends. My human's neighbors watched out for me too. I have never lacked food or shelter. A few months ago after the passing of my human's house cat, she started to let me into her house. I completely understood her reasoning for not letting me in when her furry friend was alive. I held no grudges. I respect the personalities of my own kind and I knew from just looking at Shmoopie through the window, she was Queen of her domain and I was not going to bother her. And I'm sorry for her passing, I will see her again someday and we will get a long. We will share stories of our human.

I am now going into this humans house. It is wonderful. I jump up on her desk, we talk, she pets me, I head butt her, take a bath or two, roam around the rooms and sometimes I even take a nap. But I love my outdoors. I eat out there, sunbathe, roam around. Sometimes I find the occasional mouse to toss around. I've been known to bring my human other furry offerings which I leave on her front step from time to time.

Well that's my introduction. Next time I'll tell you about my children and how my human and her neighbors took care of me and all the kids.

Until next time......Meow.

P.S. My human is working on getting my pictures posted.
